-Graphic Design
This is a compilation of finished work from my Graphic Design 1 course at College of Dupage. All work was done using Adobe Illustrator.
Final Project. Create at poster for a youth camp using postmodern graphic style: Stair step shapes, overlapping, textures, tilted axis, photo-collage illustration, spontaneous decoration.
Depth. I was assigned "Pig at Niagra Falls." The objective here was to create a design that has dimension and depth. The tool learned was gradient mesh and perspective grid.
Color Theory. Choose a mood to communicate and use a color scheme that best communicates the mood. I chose "overwhelmed."
Typography. Choose a poem or song and set it typographically. Be expressive with type in how it is set to communicate the message. I chose a quote from C.S. Lewis about progress. The tools learned were the type tools.
Type Portrait. Simplify portrait down to 3 tones. Use text as the fill for the image. The text I chose was from an article on the AIGA website called "What is Graphic Design?"
Designs for Waterfall/River, Thunderstorm/Gentle Rain
Compositions communicating the following. Organized/Chaotic, Congested/Isolated, Stable/Precarious
Using only squares triangles and circles, design compositions showing symetry emphasis, contrast, repetition, isolation, etc.
